Dr. Meyer received her medical degree at Thomas Jefferson University, Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia and is board-certified in Integrative Medicine by the American Board of Integrative and Holistic Medicine. She has been practicing Integrative Medicine for over 15 years and specializes in nutrition and mind-body techniques. Her patient care philosophy emphasizes the European Model, in which every patient encounter offers an integrative approach that combines conventional and complementary treatment options.

Tamara Berisha, M.S., L.Ac., L.M.T., Integrative Medicine Program Director

Tamara Berisha, M.S., L.Ac., L.M.T., Integrative Medicine Program DirectorMs. Berisha holds a Master’s degree in Acupuncture and an Associates degree in Massage Therapy from The Swedish Institute. She studied Chinese Herbal Medicine under the guidance of world-renowned teacher Jeffrey Yuen, a Taoist doctor and priest. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Hunter College. Ms. Berisha emphasizes a compassionate approach that takes into account the patient’s entire lifestyle. Her acupuncture, massage, herbal and nutrition treatments are designed to help patients get to the root of the cause of their discomfort, whether it be a new symptom or chronic condition.

Alison Morgan

Alison MorganAlison began her career into the healing arts with Shiatsu in 1999. Soon after she enrolled at East West College of Natural Medicine in Sarasota Florida to study acupuncture and herbal medicine. During this time she interned with an integrative practice where she witnessed the potential of a patient-centered care model using the most suitable approach, Western or Eastern. She carries that core belief with her into her practice today. She believes in looking at each patient as an individual and utilizing all approaches to achieve wellness. During her sessions, patients can expect to experience acupuncture, massage, electro-stimulation, cupping, GuaSha, herbal medicine and lifestyle consultation.

Silvia H. Walter

LICENSED MEDICAL MASSAGE THERAPIST, PHYSIOTHERAPIST & LICENSED AESTHETICIAN
Silvia graduated in 1981 with a 3000 hour program as a Medical Massage Therapist, Physiotherapist & Hydrotherapist at a Hospital for Orthopedic Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine. A two year clinical internship followed at a Hospital for Orthopedic Surgery and Rehabilitation and a Medical Sports Rehabilitation clinic for sports related injuries.
In 1986 Silvia came to America to join forces with a team of MD’s in San Francisco, where she offered patients relief through medical massage, physiotherapy and wellness treatments. Eventually she moved on to Wellness spas in Hawaii, Florida, New York and Southern California where she developed and implemented entire spa departments & treatment lines, introduced up-to-date equipment and products, to perform the most advanced treatments for detoxification, rejuvenation and wellness.
Silvia attended the International Dermal Institute in New York, towards her Honors Diploma in Skin Care Therapy, Ayurveda Therapy, Chinese Acupressure and Dr. Vodder Lymphatic Therapy. She is an active member with ABMP and ASCP since 1997.
Silvia joined the Health and Wellness Center as a medical massage therapist in 2007, where she worked closely with the Physical Therapy Department and the medical offices at the Clinton campus. In September 2016 she joined the newly incorporated Integrative Medicine Department in Clinton where she will perform a variety of massage therapy and body treatments as well as esthetic treatments. Her extensive knowledge and 30 years of experience found the perfect home.

Susan Lembo

Susan Lembo is a Certified HypnoCounselor, Member of the National Guild of Hypnotists. She specializes in Hypnosis for Weight Loss, Smoking Cessation, Stress Management, Pain Management and Insomnia. Susan is also a Licensed Massage Therapist, and has been offering Massage Therapy since 1994. She specializes in Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Shiatsu, Swedish Massage, and the energy modalities Reiki and Reconnective Healing. Your massage with Susan will include an eccletic blend of these modalities. Susan’s mission is to relieve pain and encourage people to shift to a healthy lifestyle by losing weight and freeing themselves from cigarettes. In addition, Susan paints and plays guitar and mandolin.

Stefanie Layman

Stefanie Layman is a New Jersey licensed massage therapist that has been in practice for almost a decade. Her experience and knowledge of the body make her a wonderful practitioner. She graduated from Institute of Therapeutic Massage in Red Bank, NJ and has been in practice ever since. She uses various modalities such as deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release therapy and various energetic techniques to address the needs of each client. Currently, she is in a Graduate program at David Winston’s Center for Herbal Studies, studying to become a clinical Herbalist to further her desire to help those in pain. In her free time she renews her spirit with nature hikes, gardening with family and dancing to live music with friends. Modalities: Medical, Sports, Swedish, Deep Tissue, Aromatherapy, Hot Stone, Myofascial Release Therapy and Warm Bamboo massage.

Ashley Scott

Ashley ScottAshley Scott is the Practice Coordinator for Hunterdon Healthcare Integrative Medicine. She is an AFAA Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Nutrition Specialist and holds a BA in Psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson. She is currently pursuing her degree in Nursing. She is passionate about health and wellness and believes in a holistic and preventive approach.

Diane April-Cooper

Diane April-Cooper is a Reiki Master and Teacher and has maintained a private practice for over 15 years. She is also a Medical Technologist and works in the Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center where she started a volunteer Reiki program for patients which has been incorporated into the hospital. Diane has extensive studies in several forms of energy therapies and also teaches simple stress reduction techniques.

Robin Boudette, Ph.D.

Robin Boudette, Ph.D.Robin Boudette, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist, mindfulness instructor and yoga teacher. She has practiced yoga and meditation for more then 15 years and has completed multiple teacher training programs including Integral Yoga and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.She attended a professional training with Jon Kabat-Zinn and completed three levels of MBSR teacher training at the Center for Mindfulness and at the Mindfulness Institute at Jefferson University Hospital. She has been teaching yoga and mindfulness in the Princeton area since 2002 and is especially interested in integrating the principles and practices of mindfulness to facilitate healing and wellbeing.

John Haspel

John HaspelJohn is a meditation teacher integrating principles of mindfulness, wisdom and concentration from ancient and modern sources. John has been a meditator and mindfulness practitioner for over 30 years. John teaches meditation and mindfulness within a framework of developing understanding that is easily incorporated into busy modern life.

Judi Hason

Judi HasonJudi is certified by The Wudang Taoist Association to teach Wudang Qigong, Meditation and Tai Chi. She has multiple certifications by Dr. Paul Lam to teach Tai Chi for Arthritis, Tai Chi for Diabetes and Tai Chi for Osteoporosis. Judi also holds advanced certification as a Wudang Qigong Healer and is a certified Medical Qigong Therapist. Hason has studied with many illustrious Masters including a Taoist Priest, with whom she studied intensively both in the United States and at Wudang Mountain in the northwestern part of Hubei Province of China from 1997 to 2007. Wudang Mountain has been considered a spiritual sanctuary for over two thousand years and is the primary center for Taoist Internal Martial Arts in China. It has only been open to international students and visitors since 1983. Judi’s spiritual journey coincided with a very personal search for self-healing. Unable to find relief from a chronic illness, she turned to a Chinese Tai Chi/Qigong Master for guidance. It was this chance introduction that changed the course of her life, inspiring within her a great passion for learning and practicing sacred healing arts. Guided daily by a genuine sense of discovery, wonderment, honor and appreciation for the profound benefits of Chinese Internal Martial Arts and Taoist philosophy, Hason leads multi-level Tai Chi/Qigong/Meditation classes.

Jane Mayers R.N., M.S.N., C.R.N.P.

Jane Mayers R.N., M.S.N., C.R.N.P.Jane is a family nurse practitioner who has been in private practice for over 25 years providing a mindfulness-based stress management program for her clients. She has studied Vipassana (Insight) meditation for over 30 years at the Insight Meditation Society in Barre, MA. She has completed training in teaching mindfulness at the Mindfulness Institute at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and with Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD, founder of the Stress Reduction Clinic at the UMass Medical Center. She has taught mindfulness classes for two years. She has also studied Nonviolent Communication (NVC), a way of interacting based on our shared human needs & values which engenders deeper connection between individuals across differences. Jane is interested in integrating NVC and mindfulness practice.

Jean Meier M.Ed.

Jean Meier M.Ed.Jean has studied Vipassana meditation since 2001 with teachers at the Insight Meditation Society in Barre MA. She has professional training (including the Teacher Development Intensive) through the Center for Mindfulness, UMass Medical School, founded by Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD and she has four years of experience teaching Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. Jean is a retired Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor who also has extensive classroom teaching experience with students with special needs. Another important influence has been her experience with Nonviolent Communication (NVC) which brings Gandhian nonviolence principles to communication in conflict situations.

Melissa Pickell

Melissa PickellMelissa Pickell, R.D. is a holistic nutrition counselor whose passion is “helping others find nutrition solutions to have their best possible health and accomplishing this through delicious whole foods and joyful eating”.She has been a registered dietitian for 30 years, the last 10 in private practice. Her specialties are: working with people who have food sensitivities; nutrition for inflammatory conditions (fibromyalgia, Lyme Disease, Ulcerative Colitis to name a few); weight loss coaching using mindful eating techniques and whole food; diet makeovers for individuals or families (including pantry); special ingredient-restricted diets such as gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free; whole food plant-based diets; nutrition for many different health conditions including heart disease and insulin resistance. Pickell is a Certified LEAP (Lifestyle Education & Performance) Counselor specializing in addressing inflammatory conditions caused by non-IgE food sensitivity, such as IBS, migraine, fibromyalgia, arthritis and more. She offers Mediator Release Food Sensitivity Testing through her practice. Pickell’s book Marvelous Meatless Meals…Gluten, Dairy & Refined Sugar Free Recipes for Everyday is available on Amazon.com and for all e-readers. Pickell manages a Facebook page called Marvelous Meatless Meals, which offers plant-based food ideas, restaurant reviews, and traveling plant-based and gluten-free.
Ms. Pickell has been studying Healing Touch energy therapy and will become a Healing Touch Practitioner by the end of 2015.

Colette Fanning M.S, Breathworks’ Trainer

Colette Fanning M.S, Breathworks’ TrainerColette is a certified Breathworks’ UK mindfulness teacher who has recently relocated to New Jersey. A Buddhist practitioner for 30 years, she was ordained 13 years ago into the Triratna International Buddhist Community, before which she graduated from a multi-year intensive training in meditation, ethics and Buddhist teachings. She has been leading courses and retreats in Europe and the US teaching mediation and mindfulness for over 15 years. She currently teaches and is on the Board of Triratna NYC.
Colette has a personal passion for meditation, and takes time each year to go on long, silent retreats. She also has expertise working with people suffering with chronic pain and di/stress. This is in part because she has suffered from periodic depression since she was a child. Whist therapy and anti-depressants helped, it was the discovery of mindfulness-based practices that provided the tools to reclaim her life by learning to respond with kindness and openness when the symptoms of depression are present. She has guided hundreds of people to use mindfulness effectively to reduce suffering from stress, pain and depression.

Gigi Patel

Gigi PatelGigi Patel is a certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor and yoga instructor with a deep passion for healing practices such as Ayurveda, yoga, and pranayama. Gigi’s connection with vedic practices began during her early childhood in India and has persisted throughout her life. As a yoga student, Gigi trained under Claire Diab, an international yoga therapist and a speaker. Claire is a co founder of “The Seven spiritual laws” and have worked with Dr.Deepak Chopra and David Simon of The Chopra center. As a student of Ayurveda, Gigi trained under renowned teachers such as Dr. Rosy Mann, Dr. Claudia Welch, Dr. Jyoti Bhatt, Larrisa Hall Carlson and Dr. Scott Blossom. Gigi believes that mindful practices such as yoga, Ayurveda, and Pranayama can offer balance to a western lifestyle. She was especially enlightened by a recent pranayama program attended in Gujarat, India, where she learned breathing techniques that have been passed down for thousands of years in the region. Gigi continues to participate in programs across the US and India in order to deepen her understanding of the practices.

Eleanor Schreiber

Eleanor SchreiberEleanor is a level III Reiki Master and Teacher. She started practicing Reiki several years ago after being introduced to it by a dear friend. Eleanor has been with Hunterdon Medical Center for 23 years. She works as the Coordinator for Palliative Care and as the Patient Care Representative for Pain Management. She is also the Reiki practitioner for both services.
